The Laptop Initiative

The Laptop Initiative

Your opportunity to prove your B2B credentials, help those in need and save the planet from e-waste landfill

Invitation – the challenge

As advertising leaders who connect with clients and corporates on a daily basis, would you be interested to help bring your brilliance to shape a better giving culture?

By influencing B2B decision makers to donate laptops to give people a helping hand at a moment of need?

The two questions to ask your agency leadership & your corporate clients other corporates:

  • Q1: Who is responsible in your agency (or in a Corporate) for replacing laptops (that are around the 3 or 4 year mark in age)?
  • Q2: Where do your replaced laptops currently go? (do you know where, or challenge people to find out)? Are they sent to be data wiped/recycling or landfill/existing charities/back to a leasing company/or some other outcome?

Action: would you be willing to donate them to The Laptop Initiative to pass on to grass root charities to give to people in need (after you have them data cleaned/wiped)? CTA: thelaptopinitiative.com.au/join-us/

Let’s take action together on as many levels as possible

  1. Firstly, see if your agency can donate some laptops (ask your leader)
  2. Contact your clients to see if they can donate some too
  3. Create a behavioural change campaign organically within LinkedIn to influence your connections and corporates across Australia (Download the brief here)
